Custom Commissions

 

Canvas

Before any work begins we need to establish the size of the piece you have in mind. You can commission something small or something very very large, or a gallery wall collection. Next, I need to know which direction you would like your piece to be displayed; vertical, horizontal, or round.

 

Timeline

You will be notified of my earliest availability for a custom piece as a part of the inquiry process. After confirmed availability for commission, please note that the pieces generally take 3 to 4 weeks to complete, plus shipping time.

 

Color

I want each piece to have layers and texture and so any one color could be represented in 3 or more shades, with 4 to 8 colors total. Because this work is intuitive colors, hue, emotional tone, and texture are the most important parts of the conversation and so this is where we will correspond personally.

 

Deposit

To secure your commission spot, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required prior to any paint hitting the canvas. The total balance is due prior to pick up or shipment. There are no refunds, returns or exchanges for custom work.

 

One of a Kind

Your custom work will truly be one of a kind. If there’s a previous piece that you like the colors used in or the general feel, please let me know. I do not replicate exact works. Feel free to send pictures of the space and ask for recommendations on colors and sizes. Please do not send notes on exact composition or the flow of the piece.

Process

I want custom pieces to be meaningful to those who commission them. After all the details are worked out; what I need to know is a little about you, what story you want to see behind the piece, what you want to feel, focal colors, and colors to absolutely stay away from.

 

Shipping

To give you a full quote for you custom piece plus shipping, I will need to know the address to which you’d like the piece delivered or the location of a UPS store that allows for package pick up. Domestic shipping only at this time.
